My NSMH Love Story
Honestly, my love for NSMH came a lot later than everyone else. I had attended many HTM events, but they were never NSMH-specific. Unlike others, I didn't go to Regionals or Nationals, but I was constantly told that I had to get involved in the life-changing organization. I still have yet to have my heartfelt "I love NSMH" moment, but I know that this semester I will definitely experience it.
My NSMH Journey
My journey with this organization is just beginning! If you ever feel like it's too late to get involved, trust me it's not. I am new to NSMH just like every other incoming freshman or transfer student, which is why I'm super excited to fully experience this organization alongside some of the best people I know.
At the end of last year, I decided to apply to be a board member because I wanted to learn more about the hospitality industry and become connected with other students in the major. As Social Media Director, I will literally be connecting virtually with everyone who is interested in joining SDSU NSMH, and I could not be more thrilled to showcase my creativity and my *special* ability to add information onto flyers!
Educational Background
I entered SDSU as a freshman Biology major, with the intense aspirations of becoming an orthodontist. That dream has obviously changed. Jonathan Jou, 2018-2019 Membership Director, introduced me to HTM and brought me to the "couches" for the first time where I was highly encouraged to switch into the major. My decision to finally declare my major in hospitality was a turning point in my college career and I am eager to welcome new students to the NSMH family!
